India finally did it. We won the Cricket World Cup after 28 years. That too, at home ground. Also, we set two new records in doing so.

• First Asian country to win World Cup twice.
• First country ever to win world cup at home ground. i.e., first time ever, a host country has won.
• MS Dhoni became the only captain to have won world-cup of two different formats (T20 and ODI) of cricket
